LOCAL skincare product manufacturer Sodashi has finalised a significant export contract with a major international resort chain.
Sodashi’s products will feature in Six Senses Spas resorts across the globe under the brand name Six Senses Sodashi.
Sodashi founder and managing director Megan Larsen said the deal would, over time, be worth millions of dollars.
“This year it would be worth half a million dollars to us,” she said.
“It’s a natural partnership and gives us the exciting opportunity to enhance the Sodashi experience in some of the world’s top resort destinations.”
Ms Larsen said the company recently shipped products to a spa in Wisconsin, in the US, and was in discussions with several other international resort operators regarding Sodashi product sales.
Sodashi products are already used in the Marriott and Sheraton hotels in South-East Asia, and in 70 Australian based salons and spas.
Sodashi was launched in 1999 and its annual turnover has grown from $60,000 to $700,000.
Ms Larsen expects the company will turn over $1 million this year.
She said Sodashi had been able to differentiate itself in the competitive skin care market by using 100 per cent natural ingredients.
Sodashi manufactures more than 45 products.
