Deloitte has promoted six new partners in its Perth office, and transferred a seventh from Adelaide, following a 6.5 per cent increase in the accounting firm's national revenue to $1.16 billion for the year to May 31 2014.
Former Hockeyroo and Fremantle Football Club director Jenn Morris, who has 10 years’ consulting experience, has been promoted to partner in the consulting human capital practice.
Alan Marshall has been promoted to partner in consulting enterprise information management, Thomas Hodgkins to partner in the Deloitte Private practice (launched locally this time last year), Matthew Yearsley in the private motor industry division, Omesh Motiwalla to partner in financial advisory services, and Steve Andreazza has been made partner in the tax R&D division.
The promotions take effect on July 1.
The seventh new partner is a transfer from Deloitte Adelaide. Philip Teale has joined the Perth practice as a partner in accounting advisory and finance transformation.
This brings Deloitte's partner count in Western Australia to 52, with a total of 499 accountants in WA, retaining its position as the third largest accounting firm in the state according to BNIQ.
"Deloitte will continue to invest heavily in WA, reinforcing our confidence in the market and future growth opportunities in the mining and oil and gas sectors, in addition to working with the state government to drive service delivery reforms across the public sector," Deloitte WA managing partner Michael McNulty said.
The firm is due to move its WA offices in late 2015 to the new tower currently under construction at Brookfield Place.
