Shares of oil and gas producer Santos Ltd have been placed in a trading halt, at the request of the company, pending the release of an announcement.
The oil and gas producer says it is in the final stages of talks to sell parts of its equity interest in the Gladstone liquefied natural gas project.
Santos asked the Australian stock exchange for the halt this morning.
It will remain in place until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading next Monday, June 2, or when the announcement is released.
Yesterday, Santos shares finished down 27 cents at $18.98.
