SRG wins up to $45m in Whyalla works

SRG Global has secured a contract with GFG Liberty OneSteel at its Whyalla Steelworks site, worth up to $45 million.

Total estimated revenue under the contract is around $30 million over the initial four-year term, and $45 million assuming an additional two-year option is exercised.

Under the works, SRG Global will provide refractory services throughout the incorporating the pellet plant, ironmaking, steelmaking and steel products assets.

The project located in South Australia, nearly 400 kilometres north-west of Adelaide.

SRG Global managing director David Macgeorge said the contract highlighted its depth of experience in complex asset services.

“The contract award is significant in that it aligns with SRG Global’s long-term strategy of securing a greater proportion of recurring revenue contracts in the asset services sector,” he said.

Earlier this month, SRG Global secured a contract worth up to $60 million with South32 at its Worsley Alumina operations near Collie.

Under the Worsley contract, the contractor will provide a complete suite of engineered access solutions at the operation including scaffold services and highly skilled rope access technicians.
