Southern Cross Electrical Engineering has won several contracts worth a combined $35 million in the commercial, data centre and energy sectors, primarily on the east coast.
SCEE was awarded works by for the design and construction of all electrical, communications, security audio visual, guest room automation and technology services for the redevelopment of the existing NSW Department of Education Building being developed by Pontiac Land.
The project will involve a conversion of the heritage-listed building into a 229-room hotel over a 21,000 square metre floor area, including the excavation and construction of three basement levels and the upgrade of external areas.
It also secured a contract for the design and construction of the electrical, communications and security services for the complete base building upgrade and shell fitout for 15 levels in a Sydney office building.
Additionally, SCEE was awarded works for the fitout of elements at a Sydney data centre.
In the ACT, it won works to design and construct full electrical, communications and security services to 160 apartments.
In WA, it won the battery energy storage system contract and electrical balance of plant works for EDL’s Agnew windfarm near Leinster.
SCEE managing director Graeme Dunn said he was pleased to continue to win such a wide and prestigious range of commercial work in Sydney and Canberra.
Shares in SCEE were up 1.9 per cent to trade at 54 cents each at 1.40pm AEST.
