Town Planners, Urban Design specialists and Project Managers, the Rowe Group is synonymous with some of the state’s most high profile developments including Raine Square, Port Bouvard and the iconic Raffles Waterfront and Karrinyup Regional Centre redevelopments, and to celebrate its thirty years in the field, is releasing a commemorative book.
The glossy coffee-table book features 200 pages following Greg Rowe’s remarkable success story from a young man full of big dreams when he started his little company, Greg Rowe and Associates in 1991, in rent-free space in Osborne Park.
The ensuing pages track the company’s spectacular growth and its teams of people through the three decades, with Greg’s wife Pamela by his side all the way in a variety of roles including finance and payroll manager. A constant too has been George Hajigabriel, clocking up thirty years’ service to the company alongside the Rowes who together with co-director Rod Dixon will work to grow the Rowe Group legacy.

Greg says the idea for the commemorative book came about with the milestone thirtieth anniversary.
He says he wanted to recognise the major projects and emphasise the confidence shown to Rowe Group by many long standing clients.
He says three decades of work needed to be recognised in a concise but comprehensive way.
“We decided a high quality record was the best way to recognise Rowe Group’s major projects and the significant input from staff over such a long period,” he says.
The story highlights such developments as the Port Kennedy Business Park (1991), which put the company on the map as a main player in its field. Greg describes another significant project, Port Bouvard in 2006, as a ‘game changer’ at the time, taking the company to the next level as a mainstream Town Planning consultancy and attracting a swath of Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) Awards for Excellence.
The book acknowledges the company’s move in 2006 to purpose built premises in Newcastle Street reflecting its status as a major player in the field and its 2013 rebrand as the Rowe Group, reflecting the scale and scope of its services and born from a great deal of insight and introspection by its creator.
Direct Factory Outlet at Perth Airport
Most recently the company has driven the Midland Sale Yards Redevelopment (2020), the Direct Factory Outlet at Perth Airport and Karrinyup Centre while continuing to attract and nurture bright young planners and designers.
The fact the book begins with fulsome praise from Planning Minister Lisa Saffioti, WA Planning Commission Chairman David Caddy and a host of respected development partners like Nigel Satterley, Sam Buckeridge and Luke Saraceni shows the enduring relationships the Rowe Group has built and the very high regard in which it is held.
It reflects too, how successful its strategy for success - of working collaboratively with Government, partners and authorities, has been in building its business over three decades.
In announcing the release of the commemorative book, Greg reiterated the importance of industry relationships in the success of his business - relationships with clients, Government agencies and the strong team at Rowe Group.
“The future of the company rests, as it has in the past, on building and maintaining important partnerships which will ensure ongoing growth and success,” he says.
