Rocke moves to Cor Cordis

KordaMentha managing partner Cliff Rocke has taken on a new role, joining the Perth office of the advisory firm that is handling the collapse of residential construction group Builton.

Cor Cordis announced today that Mr Rocke would join Dino Travaglini and Jeremy Nipps as partners in its Perth branch.

“Cliff is a very experienced and highly respected practitioner in the Perth insolvency, restructuring and banking industry,” the advisory firm said in a statement.

“He joins us from KordaMentha where he had been a partner for eight years and his previous roles also included heading up the asset restructuring unit of one of Australia’s big four banks.

“With his addition, we now have a national presence of 18 partners and over 110 staff across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth and Cliff’s appointment will complement our position as one of Australia’s leading restructuring, turnaround and insolvency advisory firms.”

Cor Cordis was appointed as external administrators of Builton last month, making it the second biggest residential builder to fail since the end of the mining boom.
