Mining billionaire Gina Rinehart has snared a major stake in oil and gas explorer Lakes Oil.A subsidiary of Mrs Rinehart's Hancock Prospecting secured its diluted 18.6 per cent stake after buying $4.25 million of unsecured notes as part of an extended capital raising.
