Discount retailer The Reject Shop will open a further four new stores in Western Australia by November as part of a broader state plan to open a record 22 stores in the first half of 2009/10.
The four stores are in addition to two new stores, Riverton Stockland and South Fremantle Market Place, that were opened this month.
The four new stores will be located in Willetton, Bunbury, Forrestfield and Mirrabooka.
The Reject Shop, listed on the ASX, already has 14 stores in WA, and has a long-term aim of holding 30 stores in the state.
"West Australia is a highly strategic market for The Reject Shop and a key plank of our long term growth strategy. West Australians have responded extremely well to our discount variety model and our broad range of low price everyday needs and bargains on discount variety items," managing director Chris Bryce said.
"The expansion of our West Australian footprint is a key part of our accelerated national store rollout program which will see us open a record 22 stores in the first half of FY2010 alone.
