I write to you having taken great offence at our omission from your recent two-page article featuring Western Australian diamond companies (WA Business News July 1).
Your report fails to identify Conquest Mining as the most significant diamond exploration play within Australia. Our prospects lie immediately adjacent to both Kimberley Diamond and Argyle operations and offer very real development potential.
Conquest’s Ellendale 17 pipe is the same size as Ellendale 9 and should prove to contain more gem quality diamonds of similar value. We also hold several nearby diamond targets in the Napier Range adjoining Blina’s ground to the north. Conquest’s alluvial prospects downstream from Argyle at Bow River are potentially the only other world source of the rare pink gems highlighted in your front-page photograph.
Another recent successful acquisition was that of Normanby Gold Pty Ltd in exchange for 6.5 million fully paid ordinary shares and 3.25 million options. This acquisition marks another success for the company, as it provides Conquest with the second-largest tenement holding in Queensland. Conquest now controls a total of 13,885sq km of highly-prospective exploration ground situated immediately east of Charters Towers. We are now exceedingly well placed to take advantage of a predicted rise in prices across a range of commodities.
Our long-term goal is to build yet another world-class Australian mining house, and Conquest has the right resources to achieve this.
