Pointerra strikes deal with Wesfarmers startup

Pointerra has entered into a licensing agreement with Wesfarmers startup Decipher for its 3D data technology.

Under the agreement, Decipher will embed Pointerra’s 3D geospatial technology into its mining rehabilitation, agricultural soil and land management, and waste landfill levy monitoring software.

The licensing agreement with Decipher is expected to generate around $US5,000 per month for Pointerra, and the agreement can be cancelled at any time.

Pointerra managing director Ian Olson said his business was delighted to be working with the Decipher team.

“Pointerra’s 3D data technology continues to find new ways to support organisations to solve digital asset management problems across the globe,” he said.

Decipher chief executive Anthony Walker said access to cutting edge technology, such as Pointerra’s 3D solution, was vital to their growth in the marketplace.

“We are very excited about how we will leverage this technology to create more value for our customers and continue to grow our business in new sectors and in new countries,” he said.

Decipher delivers its cloud solutions in over 60 countries and it aims improve mining and land rehabilitation, while decreasing illegal waste dumping.

Shares in Pointerra were up 10.5 per cent to trade at 4.2 cents each at 3.10pm AEST.
