Planning scheme open to public again

THE Perth City Council’s City Planning Scheme Number Two is being re-released for public comment with amendments from Planning Minister Graham Kierath included.

Mr Kierath made four significant modifications, including:

* New land use provisions for the entire scheme area;

* Revised provisions for the Mount Street area in the West Perth Precinct;

* Revised provisions for the Crawley area in the Matilda Bay Precinct; and

* Revised provisions for building height and plot ratio for the City Centre Precinct.

The amended scheme will be available for public comment until February 28.

Council wants the scheme adopted as soon as possible.
