Pioneer Credit appoints chief risk officer

Tony Bird has been appointed as the inaugural chief risk officer of Pioneer Credit, commencing February 2.

Over the past ten years Mr Bird has held several senior roles at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, including executive manager collections strategy, head of investigations & management information, and head of retail credit risk, Bankwest.

Previously he has worked as head of risk for Citibank Australia, and as a risk manager for Westpac and AGC.
