The state government has launched a new tourism marketing campaign for Perth focused on affordable hotel deals for east coast tourists.
The campaign, branded as ‘Hotel Perth’, offers three categories of price-based multi-night deals, with offerings such as Kings Park and Rottnest Island also featured.
The three categories include under $200, under $300 and over $300 (luxury) with an aim to promote Perth as an affordable destination.
The Hotel Perth campaign will be integrated across television, print, public relations, digital, social and electronic direct mail, and begins on Wednesday.
Tourism Minister Paula Papalia said the campaign would highlight the changing nature of Perth as a holiday destination.
"Tomorrow, I'm launching this campaign to members of the travel industry in Sydney and I'll be reinforcing the message that Perth is a quality, affordable and vibrant destination that is close to wineries, stunning beaches and a range of extraordinary natural attractions and experiences,” he said
"Hotel Perth is a great concept which will help us highlight some of the changes that have occurred across our city, including Optus Stadium and the growing bar and restaurant scene.
"As well as Hotel Perth, over the coming months Tourism WA will deliver other interstate marketing initiatives including an AFL tourism campaign, promotion of regional areas such as Broome, the Kimberley, Exmouth and the Coral Coast, and a series of cooperative campaigns."
AHA (WA) chief executive Bradley Woods said the initiative, backed by Perth hotels, was being delivered simultaneously with new room capacity.
“This is a concerted and multifaceted effort by the McGowan government to grow WA’s hospitality and tourism sector which is sensational news for hotel businesses and the many thousands of workers in the sector,” he said.
“Perth and Western Australia has an incredible product in terms of our hospitality, unique destinations and outstanding food and beverage.”
