Perth is the most expensive city in Australia for a pint of beer, and the 13th most expensive in the world, according to international statistics group Numbeo.
The average cost of a pint at a bar or restaurant in Perth is $9, Numbeo said, easily beating out Melbourne and Darwin, which have average pint prices of $7.
In Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Canberra, the average pint of beer costs $6.
Hobart is the cheapest city in Australia to buy a beer, at $5 a pint.
If the Perth pint prices have gotten you down, spare a thought for punters in Tripoli, Libya, who pay $14.14 on average for a 500ml glass of beer.
Rounding out the top five most expensive cities for pints are Bergen, Stavanger, Trondheim and Oslo in Norway, with average pint prices ranging from $12.81 to $13.73.
The cheapest city in the world to buy a pint is Guangzhou, China, where a pint will only set a punter back 55 cents.
