West Perth-based Capital Partners Private Wealth Advisers has been announced professional practice of the year by the Financial Planning Association.
Capital Partners received the award at the Future2Celebration held during the FPA Professionals Congress in Melbourne late last month.
The FPA awards recognise businesses that deliver the highest standards of professional advice to Australian consumers, as well as those that support their local communities through pro bono and volunteer work.
Founded in 1999, privately-owned Capital Partners provides financial advice and planning to Australians, including wealth planning for retirement, strategic investing and legacy planning.
It was the second FPA professional practice of the year award handed to the company, the first coming in 2017, which founder and managing director David Andrew said set the company apart from other planning practices.
“This award is a stamp of quality and recognises the efforts we have made over 20 years to do the right thing,” he said.
“Our team are switched on every day to help our clients ‘live richer and happier lives’ – this is our mantra.”
Mr Andrew said the effort in meeting FPA’s criteria demonstrated the company’s professionalism towards its clients.
“We started back in 1999 with nothing – zero clients and zero revenue,” he said.
“But from there, we’ve built a successful businesses, so for other firms to see what we’ve achieved and how we’ve gone about doing it is something I like to share.”
Mr Andrew attributed part of the company’s success to internal initiatives such as belonging to a study group of six non-aligned businesses, which he said helped the company understand and implement best industry practice.
Next year, Capital Partners will roll out a series of podcasts to provide more educational information to its clients as well as to the broader community.
