ASX-listed MOQ is building its Western Australian presence through the acquisition of local IT business Dienst Consulting.
Sydney-based MOQ said today it had agreed to purchase Dienst for $3.78 million in cash and shares, in a move that will boost the company's local team of three to more than 30 members.
Dienst, led by founder and managing director Alan Hodson, has a client base of more than 100 businesses across a variety of industries, including the state government and resources sectors.
Its clients include mining majors BHP, Fortescue Metals Group, Mineral Resources, and South32.
Mr Hodson, who will remain with the combined group, said the acquisition was an exciting chapter for the business, which reported revenue of $8.4 million in fiscal 2021 and normalised EBIT of $800,000.
“Dienst Consulting has built a 10-year legacy of service in the WA and South Australian markets," he said.
“In joining forces with MOQdigital, we see an exciting opportunity to further our capability and capacity to delivery world-class services and support to our current and future customers."
Mr Hodson will work alongside MOQdigital's recently appointed state director Steve McNally.
MOQdigital, provides cloud-centric technology services and solutions, specialising in Microsoft’s Azure Cloud, to businesses across Australia.
Chief executive Joe D'Addio believes the acquisition provides a platform to accelerate the company’s growth on the back of Dienst’s foundational and cyber security services, and against a backdrop of an accelerated cloud transformation market.
