PS Structures has won a near-$30 million government contract for the first stage of construction works at the new Byford Senior High School.
Balcatta-based PS was selected ahead of a host of other prominent builders, including BGC Construction, Esslemont and Cooper & Oxley, in a competitive tender process.
PS' tender of $28.8 million was the lowest on the list, with Esselmont and Cooper & Oxley both tendering $30 million for the works, and BGC tentering $31.9 million.
The project, which was allocated $30 million in the 2012-13 state budget, is expected to be completed for the 2014 school year.
Byford Senior High School will cater to 890 students by 2020.
