FRESH from its acquisition of Finn International, PCH Group Ltd has extended its business interests into the eastern Goldfields of WA.
The construction and maintenance services group has recently purchased Kalgoorlie-based G&C Maintenance, a painting and blasting contractor.
PCH managing director James Cullen called the move a “strategic one”, designed to streng-then the firm’s presence in the resources industry for its wholly-owned subsidiary, Finn.
The purchase is subject to due diligence and will be concluded by an initial payment of $200,000 cash and the issue of $100,000 in ordinary shares with the balance being determined by a formula linked to first-year profitability.
Mr Cullen said there were increasing opportunities in the region thanks to three recently completed laterite nickel processing plants.
In addition there was increasing demand for maintenance requirements from the aging infrastructure of longer established plants.
“The acquisition will also provide a base for the group’s scaffolding hire operation, PCH Access,” Mr Cullen said.
