Openn to join Canadian accelerator program

Claremont-based property technology company Openn Negotiation has been chosen to participate in a Canadian real estate accelerator program.

Openn Negotiation – a platform that facilitates online property purchases – will take part in venture-capital backed REACH Canada’s 2022 program, via Openn’s US subsidiary.

The REACH program has the backing of the US’ National Association of Realtors and more than 80 companies on its portfolio.

REACH managing partner Lynette Keyowski said Openn had demonstrated great potential and had “significant opportunity to innovate and grow even further”.

“The achievement of greater transparency and efficiency in a real estate transaction, through a single platform, is optimal for all parties and aligns directly with our objectives to enhance consumers' experience via the real estate community,” she said.

Openn managing director Peter Gibbons said the program would help propel his company’s interests in the North American property market.

“The North American market is extremely important to us and being able to work with the REACH team and their extensive network underpins our market entry and tailored value proposition to maximise market acceptance and growth,” he said.

“As we have found through our experience of partnering with REACH Australia, participation in the REACH Canada program will deliver unparalleled opportunities and access to new markets and partnerships.”

Shares in Openn remained at 18 cents each at the time of writing.
