KPMG’s Arundell moves to Azure
KPMG partner Adrian Arundell is set to join local corporate advisory firm Azure Capital later this year. Mr Arundell has operated in the unlisted private company sector of the mergers and acquisitions market, building a significant reputation in that area since returning to Perth in 2008. He said that after 17 years with KPMG it was time to take on a new challenge.
Longmore on Advisory Council
Shire of Roebourne chief executive officer Collene Longmore is among 11 people, and the only Western Australian, appointed to a new federal government Advisory Council on Regional Australia. The council will provide advice on emerging regional priorities and how best to grow regional economies. Ms Longmore previously held the position of CEO for the Pilbara Area Consultative Committee. The new council will be chaired by Bill Kelty.
Fitzpatrick chairs waste authority
Peter Fitzpatrick has been appointed as chairman of the WA Waste Authority. Mr Fitzpatrick currently lectures in corporate governance for the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the UWA Business School. He was previously the chief executive officer of two peak bodies, for the legal profession and the motor industry, and prior to that served in the Australian Army. He has previously served on the former Waste Advisory Board and State Recycling Advisory Committee in WA.
Woods Bagot recruits Spencer
Architecture and design firm Woods Bagot has appointed Richard Spencer as design director – aviation. Mr Spencer was previously a director of the London office of HOK, and has worked on the design and delivery of aviation projects across the globe, such as the passenger transport interchange at Heathrow’s Terminal 5, Delhi International Airport Terminal 3, Cork Airport in Ireland, and the master plan for a new airport in Lisbon, Portugal. Woods Bagot has recently won the second stage of the international terminal expansion at Perth Airport.
