THE expansion of Bartercard Australia to California has led to the appointment of former ANZ bank director Neville Clark as the new chief executive officer for the WA branch.
Mr Clark, who has had 40 years’ experience in the finance industry, takes over from Wayne Sharpe.
Mr Sharpe has re-located to California to manage the operations of the new branch.
“My key directive to the management team is to build a lean and agile operation with a high technology delivery focus that will provide a superior level of service to member businesses and franchisees alike,” Mr Clark said.
Mr Clark’s experience comes mainly from working in senior positions with ANZ Bank, most recently in Queensland as director for ANZ Corporate and Institutional Bank Property and Construction Finance.
Members benefit from trading when new sales are generated and cash is conserved in the business. This leads to a reduction in cost borrowing and a healthier bottom line, he said.
Bartercard is the world’s largest business-to-business Trade Exchange and has 20,000 Bartercard Member businesses throughout Australia and more than 40,000 worldwide.
Members are mostly small to medium-sized enterprises and come from a wide range of sectors, including community services, retail, agriculture and construction.
The company was founded 10 years ago and the United States is the 10th country to join the network.
