Engineering contractor Monadelphous Group has been awarded a series of new maintenance services contracts and contract extensions worth $140 million.
The contracts include a three-year mechanical and electrical service agreement with BHP Billiton Nickel West for its Western Australian operations, and a one-year contract with Rio Tinto for dragline and shovel shutdowns at its Mount Thorley Warkworth and Hunter Valley operations in New South Wales.
Monadelphous has also secured a two-year extension to an onsite services contract at BHP's Olympic Dam operation in South Australia and a one-year extension to a similar contract with BP in Kwinana.
Managing director Rob Velletri said the contracts would support the company's recurring revenue base.
Monadelphous shares were trading 7 cents lower at $17.92 at 12:44pm WST.
