Perth radio station 92.9 was the biggest winner in the latest Nielsen survey results out today, while its Austereo stablemate Mix 94.5 retained its position as Perth's number one radio station despite a slump in its ratings.
Mix 94.5 was the number one station for the 97th consecutive survey.
The percentage of the Perth market who listened in to 92.9's Troy Nelson in the afternoon increased by 2.5 per cent to 14.7 per cent, and the 4pm to 7pm drive session with Fifi & Jules/Hamish & Andy increasing by 2.4 per cent to take on 15.6 per cent of the market share.

Linda Wayman, general manager of Southern Cross Austereo Perth, which owns both Mix 94.5 and 92.9, said 92.9 had enjoyed a great finish to the year and that she was over the moon with this results.
“The 92.9 team can now have a well-deserved break, knowing they put in a huge year,” she said.
Mix 94.5 maintains its number one slot and the hold on the title of most successful radio station in Australian history. It is also currently celebrating 12 years as Perth’s number one radio station, Ms Wayman said.
“It’s a fantastic achievement from a very talented team, both on-air and off-air. We look forward to 2012 and our objective is to reach 100 consecutive survey wins next year,” she said.
Mix 94.5 lost share market percentages in every category across the day, but held on to their first place with 15.1 per cent of the market, down an average of 3,000 listeners from last survey’s 36,000.
