The team behind Fremantle’s Little Creatures Brewery has revealed details of its new Northbridge project, which will be called Alex Hotel.
Hospitality heavyweights Adrian Fini, Nic Trimboli, Howard Cearns, David Martin and Miles Hull are progressing a development near the corner of William and James streets adjacent to the Perth Cultural Centre.
It will include a four or five-star 74-room boutique hotel plus a restaurant and bar.
The six-storey hotel is intended to offer a point of difference to what the team has described as “impersonal cookie cutter” hotels prevalent in the Perth market.
Room rates will be between $200 and $350 per night.
A liquor licence application has been lodged for the venue, which states the restaurant will offer European-influenced food and beverages targeted at the high end of the market.
“Alex Hotel will set a new standard in the locality, particularly around Northbridge, and raise the bar in terms of style and quality of the fit-out, the ample seating to be provided and soothing entertainment genre,” the application reads.
Construction of the new building, which will incorporate the façade of the former National Bank building, has already begun and trading is expected to commence early next year.
The development follows Messrs Fini and Trimboli’s Bread in Common restaurant in Fremantle, which opened shortly after Mr Trimboli started Gordon Street Garage in West Perth.
