When The Note got word that Australian company InvoCare, which owns and operates funeral homes, cemeteries and crematoria, also created one-of-a-kind coffins, it just had to send shutterbug Grant Currall to grab a snap.
In what is thought be an Australian first, the heavenly company is offering Western Australians 26 styles and designs of custom-made coffins, at a starting price of $2,000.
The dearly departed can have a last chance of extravagance with their coffin featuring everything from their favourite sports club logo, to designs encompassing fishing, musical instruments, surfing, horse racing, or just photographs of family.
Custom-made coffins is the brainchild of InvoCare state general manager Andrew Hogan, whose designs are being offered by a range of funeral service providers such as Purslowe Funerals, Simplicity Funerals, Chipper Funerals, Oakwood Funerals, and Christian Funerals.
Perth-based Advanced Signage Concepts is offering its graphic and artwork expertise to the designer coffin trade, which The Note believes people are already dying to see
