Senior reporter and feature writer Victoria Laurie was bestowed the culture and arts report award at the WA Media Awards for her work in Business News.
Ms Laurie was awarded the AH Kornweibel Arts Prize for culture and arts reporting at the annual awards ceremony held at the Anzac Club on Saturday night.
That award recognises exceptional reporting on the arts and culture sector and honours the memory of celebrated music critic Albert H Kornweibel.
Ms Laurie also won best freelance journalist for her submission titled 'State of the Arts and Stolen Memories', which was work published in this masthead and others, and unpacked issues facing the state's underfunded arts sector.
A freelance journalist based in Western Australia, she was inducted into the WA Women's Hall of Fame in 2023.
