LandCorp has announced development partners for two urban redevelopment projects; the residential revamp of the Perry Lakes stadium in Floreat, and a former education department site close to the Kwinana town centre.
LandCorp announced today that developer TRG Properties had been nominated by LandCorp to develop its Perry Lakes residential project in Floreat.
TRG will develop 33-terrace style dwellings and two-low rise sites comprising 124 apartments at Perry Lakes, after winning a competitive expressions of interest process, LandCorp general manager metropolitan Luke Willcock said.
The heritage-significant Perry Lakes scoreboard will be retained and incorporated into the development.
“TRG properties will join us to help bring about the vision for Perry Lakes, which is transforming the former 1962 Commonwealth Games site into a highly sought after, attractive modern estate,” Mr Willcock said.
TRG said Western Australia-based architects CCN would design the successful proposals for Perry Lakes.
TRG previously developed the Sovereign Place Apartments, in EPRA’s Queens Riverside project, among other developments for LandCorp.
At Kwinana, Lands Minister Brendon Grylls announced LandCorp had entered into a development agreement with Lend Lease to develop up to 170 new homes at a 6.2 hectare site near the Kwinana town centre.
“The development site is vacant land and expected to yield a range of living options that include grouped housing, apartments, terrace houses and free-standing dwellings as well as a 7,000sqm park,” Mr Grylls said.
