Experienced Western Australian football administrator Troy Kirkham has been appointed as chief executive of SportWest, effective from late July.

Experienced Western Australian football administrator Troy Kirkham has been appointed as chief executive of SportWest, effective from late July.
Mr Kirkham, who attained success across a wide variety of game development roles at West Australian Football Commission for over a decade, was also crowned WA Sports Administrator of the Year at the 2023 WA Sport Awards earlier this year.
"I am genuinely excited by the opportunity to lead SportWest and look forward to connecting and working closely with all SportWest’s members to support them and the broader WA community," Mr Kirkham said.
"Sport plays a significant role in the community, and I look forward to working collaboratively across the industry to make a positive difference."
SportWest is advocacy-based organisation which represents 130 members, along with more than 5,000 community sporting clubs across WA.
