Accounting firm Deloitte Australia has appointed its outgoing Western Australian boss, Keith Jones, as its national chairman.
Mr Jones will succeed current chairman Wayne Goss, who will retire from June 1.
Mr Goss said Mr Jones had been an outstanding leader at the WA branch, growing the business from around 100 staff to more than 500 employees.
Under Mr Jones' leadership, Deloitte's WA revenue exceeded $110 million in financial year 2012.
“Keith will provide the strong governance and support our board has always given to the firm and its leadership,” Mr Goss said.
Mr Jones said he looked forward to continuing his close relationship with the firm.
“While I believe we are well positioned to help our clients respond to the rapidly evolving business landscape, the challenge will be to keep our partners focused on the key issues, while maintaining the organisational agility so critical for success in today’s market,” he said.
