POSITIVE early drilling results from its Mt Garnet zinc project in North Queensland has indicated likely ore body extensions at depth for recently listed junior Kagara Zinc Limited.
Funded largely by private subscription, Kagara has acquired and developed a package of zinc sulphide deposits and exploration prospects, predominantly in the Herberton-Chillagoe area of North Queensland.
The pure zinc company has released results of its second diamond drill hole which intersected mineralisation at 64 metres grading at 3.3 per cent zinc.
Kagara managing director Mark Ashley – the former finance director of the LionOre Group in Australia, which owns the Emily Ann and Maggie Hays nickel deposits in WA – said that the mineralised interval incorporated three separate higher grade zones.
