Logistics and supply chain group K&S Corporation has acquired Bunbury-based Collare Transport Group for an undisclosed sum.
K&S announced today that it had reached agreement to acquire Collare, which employs around 35 staff at its Bunbury base.
The Collare business has annual revenue of around $12 million.
K&S managing director Greg Stevenson said the acquisition would be funded by existing debt facilities and would contribute to earnings immediately.
Mr Stevenson said the Collare business would be particularly complementary to its Dardanup equipment base.
“The acquisition presents an excellent opportunity to generate operational synergies and to improve the returns of the combined Dardanup and Collare businesses,” he said.
“Significantly it offers improved earnings for K&S from a comparatively modest outlay and further demonstrates K&S’ ability to identify quality assets that add value to our business.”
