Perth-based Intierra Resources Intelligence has acquired Sweden-based Raw Materials Group (RMG) to create one of the industry’s largest global database groups.
All RMG shareholders have taken an equity position in the expanded company and all RMG staff will stay on with the new entry.
Intierra said in a statement today RMG was a pioneer in mining data compilation and analysis, and together the expanded company would deliver enhanced mission-critical data, reports, consultancy services and industry briefings.
RMG CEO and co-founder Magnus Ericsson will join the Intierra board and will continue to lead the expanded consulted division under the Raw Materials Group brand.
Mr Ericsson said the new entity was a perfect combination of information, analytical skill and global reach that will provide mining companies, governments and other organisations with the critical information and tools they need to optimise their strategies and policies.
Intierra CEO Peter Rossdeutscher said the deal brought together two leading suppliers of resource sector information.
