Internet telephony offers 80% save

PERTH telephone customers can save up to 80 per cent on overseas telephone calls thanks to new telecommunications company Global Dial.

Global Dial managing director Patrick Ng said the Claremont-based company was also offering its customers free Internet access.

“We want our customers to be able to use our Internet technology and access the cheapest everyday national and international long

distance telephone calls,” he said.

Added features of the initial rate savings plan include monitoring costs during the course of a call on a computer screen and cheaper rates to selected capitals – not just countries – the world over.

Global Dial uses Internet technology to connect its clients, enabling both phone to phone and personal computer to phone calls, reducing communication costs.

Mr Ng said Perth consumers paid too much for calls.

Global Web – a subsidiary of Global Dial – was established five years ago and although comparatively young, has been rapidly advancing in the industry.
