The completion date for Herdsman office development 20 Walters Drive has been brought forward to January 2014.
Construction started in October 2012 with an original completion date of May 2014, but progress at the site means build time has been cut by 20 per cent.
The 15,000 square metre office building is being constructed by BGC.
At completion, 20 Walters Drive will be one of Perth’s largest suburban office buildings.
The building will have 12 upper levels with levels six to 12 being full office space.
Full floors will be 2,327sqm, while floors one to five will accommodate 550 carbays.
Real estate services giant CBRE has been appointed as leasing agent for the office site.
CBRE Office Services senior director Andrew Denny said work at the site had progressed extremely quickly.
“To complete a 15,000sqm office building in just 16 months is an outstanding achievement and is likely to break records for Perth construction times,” he said.
“The benefits of quick construction will be passed to tenants via lower rents.”
Building work at the site is currently up to the ninth floor.
