Harrier Human Capital buys Oceans Group

Perth-based recruitment consultancy Harrier Human Capital has acquired an executive search organisation based in Sydney for an undisclosed sum.

Harrier, a 2015 Business News Rising Stars award recipient and led by 40under40 winner Kelly Quirk, has purchased Oceans Group, which provides executive search solutions across Australia, Asia and Europe.

The target will become an independent subsidiary of Harrier, with both companies to support and leverage their areas of expertise.

“This is a strategic move for Oceans Group and enables us to fulfil the vast amount of potential and opportunity we have created,” Oceans managing director Andrew Wood said.

Ms Quirk said the acquisition of Oceans cemented Harrier’s position as a leading boutique talent management business in Australasia.

“The leadership groups of Harrier and Oceans are partnering on integrating the two businesses where appropriate, to achieve a seamless transition for our employees and clients,” she said.
