WESTERN Australian upholstery leather manufacturer Gosh Leather is confident new export contracts with three of the world’s largest furniture retailers could result in major expansion.
Gosh has been chosen by Ikea, La-Z-Boy and the Christie Tyler Group to supply Australian upholstery leather for furniture manufactured for US, Asian, European and Australian markets, managing director Danielle Blain said.
“These contracts are significant in Gosh’s continued drive to establish long-term export business in the region,” Mrs Blain said.
She said exports had grown to more than $21 million since 1992 and represented 50 per cent of Gosh’s sales.
The company has tanneries at Hamilton Hill and Darkan.
