The 2015 Rising Stars winner, Proactiv Payroll, will continue to service existing activpayroll customers, but with the rollout of its digital payroll and HR platform, Definitiv, Business News understands Proactiv will not be taking new activpayroll clients.
Proactiv Payroll founder Roy Mellon, also a recent 40 under 40 winner, previously headed activ’s Australian operations before purchasing its client list and launching his own business in 2015.
Having since launched Definitiv, and recently undertaken a seven-figure capital raising, Proactiv will be focusing on the growth of its technology platform.
Activpayroll chief executive Alison Sellar said as the business continued to grow in the services space and have more multi-national organisations recognise its offerings, it felt an Australian base was needed.
“Australia is one of the many strategic countries activpayroll has identified with considerable potential, hence we expect substantial growth in the next six to 12 months,” she said.
Activpayroll provides payroll solutions, taxation services, and online HR management tools to approximately 1,000 companies across about 140 countries worldwide.
