Construction, engineering and property development firm Georgiou Group has kicked off a pair of projects collectively worth $56 million, at Curtin University and for the City of Joondalup.
At Curtin, Georgiou is building a $40 million, five-level learning and teaching building at the university’s Bentley campus.
The works are expected to be complete by early 2016.
The building will have a total floor area of 6,350 square metres, while Georgiou will also provide an integrated fitout using the latest in audio-visual, IT, communications and security technology.
In Joondalup, Georgiou said it had broken ground on the Joondalup Multi-Storey Car Park project in late August.
The car park will include 28 below-ground spaces for private lease, while it will also comprise 560 bays of public parking over five levels.
“When Georgiou Group expanded their capability into the commercial building sector five years ago, we set out to provide the best service to our clients, focusing on safety, best value price and quality and innovative solutions,” Georgiou general manager of build Frank Dilizia said.
“This most recent win for a key client in the City of Joondalup reinforces the reputation that we have been able to achieve with our team to date.”
The construction work starts follow Georgiou being selected for the $16 million transformation of the City Beach surf club earlier this year, while building works are also ongoing at the first stage of LandCorp’s Claremont on the Park apartments development.
