Four MinSec directors resign

Four Mineral Securities Ltd directors, including mining identity Robert Champion de Crespigny, have stepped down following the company's merger with CopperCo Ltd.

Bruce MacPhail, Nigel Hamway, Stephen Phipps and Mr de Crespigny, have tendered their resignations at the request of CopperCo, which holds a 94.7 per cent interest in MinSec.

CopperCo is in the process of moving to acquire the remaining interest in MinSec it does not already own.

CopperCo said it does not intend to invite the retiring directors to join its board.

"The Company acknowledges the valuable contribution that the Retiring Directors have made since the merger of Scarborough Minerals and Mineral Securities and subsequently through the merger process with CopperCo and sincerely thanks them for their diligent efforts on behalf of the Company," MinSec said.

Directors John Moore and Keith Liddell remain on MinSec's board.
