Envirogold Ltd is preparing for the commencement of construction of its 70 per cent owned Las Lagunas gold project in the Dominican Republic by making several management appointments. Finance executive Ross Hatten has been appointed as chief financial officer. Mr Hatten most recently held the role of commercial and financial superintendent of Xtrata’s Mount Isa copper operations. Peter Symons has been appointed business development manager for Latin America, having most recently held the position of business development manager, the Americas, for both Xtrata Copper and MIM Holdings. Wayne Selleck has been appointed engineering manager. Mr Selleck has previously worked with GRD Minproc, Rio Tinto, Western Mining, Kellogg Brown & Root, and Bechtel.
