Empired wins $12m Western Power work

Local IT company Empired has won a $12 million contract to provide managed services to Western Power under an initial three-year term.

The scope of work will see Empired manage all of Western Power’s corporate information technology networks across Western Australia, with the contract to be extended by a further four years.

Empired will also provide project services to enhance and develop network infrastructure for Western Power.

“Empired demonstrated a broad range of highly credible services and was a key contender across all major packages of work being procured by Western Power,” Western Power chief information officer Leigh Sprlyan said.

“I look forward to working with Empired as a key partner to assist us in delivering our core business objectives.”

Empired managing director Russell Baskerville said the contract win was testament to the maturity and quality of services provided by the company.

“The Empired team is now focused on delivering outstanding levels of service to Western Power and continuing to grow our business with them.”

Empired shares were 2.4 per cent higher to 82.5 cents at 10am.
