Dole contract awarded

EMPLOYMENT National has won contracts to provide Work For The Dole in WA, South Australia and Tasmania.

Managing director Peter Storey said the contracts would broaden the business base for the company in high unemployment areas.

Employment National and the WA National Trust have formed an alliance for the Pioneer Project in East Perth.

The project involves the restoration of historic gravesites in the old East Perth cemetery, cataloguing historic artefacts, clearing and landscaping and restoration of iron railings.

“Importantly, the scheme will provide opportunities and experience for eager job seekers in areas where jobs are few,” Mr Storey said.
