A STRONG sister state relationship involving China and Western Australia could help people with disability benefit from future advances in technology, according to the state government.
Disability Services Minister Helen Morton said the relationship included a four-year memorandum of understanding between WA’s Disability Services Commission and the Zhejiang Provincial Disabled Person’s Federation to gain new perspectives on how to best support people with disability.
“The MoU and the sister state relationship provides an opportunity for considerable information exchange between the two states,” Mrs Morton said.
“These visits may also pave the way for future trade between the countries in technology and specialised equipment for people with disability.”
