Demand for software solution

HEALTH software supplier Working Systems Solutions is to implement an Internet-based Mental Health Information System for the ACT Department of Health, Housing and Community Care.

The contract for the re-development of the Canberra Hospital’s existing Mental Health Information System (MHAGIC) system was awarded to Working Systems following the release of a tender last year.

Working Systems redesigned the internal application architecture while maintaining the many strengths of the existing application so that it could be deployed with minimal training and maintenance costs.

Working Systems Solutions has embedded its proprietary e-switch messaging technology between the department and participating hospitals. This enables the new system to transparently maintain a Statewide Patient Master Index (PMI) via a ‘broadcast model’, which ensures transaction integrity across the ACT.
