Crews retrieve worker after fall at Karrinyup redevelopment

Emergency services crews converged on the construction site of the Karrinyup Shopping Centre redevelopment this morning after a young worker fell from a ladder on the third floor.

Business News understands Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel were called to the site just after 11am and have since retrieved the 18-year-old man, who is understood to have been 11 metres above ground level.

A spokesperson from WorkSafe told Business News it had been contacted about the incident and had mobilised investigators.

The worker's condition is not yet known.
