County makes a comeback

After an absence of two and a half years, County Investment Management has returned to the retail market.

To assist in the return, County has appointed former HSBC head of retail Bruce Garratt to educate financial planners in regard to their products.

In past years, County had a solid presence in the retail market and was popular with financial planners.

Over the final years of its independent existence the company’s focus was more directed towards the wholesale market.

A takeover by National Australia Funds Management saw the management and distribution of County’s products become much more centralised.

This new move sees a commitment to the marketing of County’s products through advisers other than the National’s own sales force.
