COMPUTER and satellite communications company Comdek is aiming to go to market on October 3.
It is issuing 20 million shares at 20 cents each to raise $4 million from an offer that is scheduled to close on September 26.
The money will be used to upgrade the satellite ground station the company operates; to acquire the remaining 20 per cent of the satellite business that is held by private investors; and provide working capital to enable customer acquisition programs.
Former deputy premier Hendy Cowan is the company’s chairman. Other directors include Haydn Collins (managing director), Jeff Garrett and David Falconer.
Mr Garrett founded Comdek Computers.
Price Sierakowski is the solicitor to the issue and Ernst & Young provided the auditor and independent accountants report on the company’s historical financial information.
