Cleveland Mining Company has announced former Fortescue Metals Group director Russell Scrimshaw as its new chairman, while Iluka Resources has appointed former Murchison Metals managing director Greg Martin as its new chair.
Cleveland announced today that Don Bailey would retire as chairman, following the company’s next board meeting in August.
Mr Bailey said he was retiring to focus on family and other business interests.
Mr Scrimshaw thanked Mr Bailey for his contribution to the company and wished him well for the future.
Also today, Iluka Resources announced John Pizzey would retire as chairman, to be replaced by Mr Martin.
Mr Pizzey will step down from the Iluka board in December.
Mr Martin joins Iluka after stints at Murchison and Challenger Financier Services Group.
He is also a current non-executive director of Santos and Energy Developments.
