RIO Tinto and Murdoch University’s Business School will award four annual scholarships to students interested in forging strong business links with China. The scholarships are part of a new degree course in Chinese Business offered by the Murdoch Business School from 2008. Murdoch Business School Dean, Professor Michael Schaper, said the scholarships would help students undertaking a one semester intensive Chinese language training course in China. “Scholarship recipients will also have an opportunity to experience the working style of Rio Tinto’s China Headquarter office in Shanghai,” Professor Schaper said. “Murdoch is the first university to establish a Chinese Business Major in Australia in response to the burgeoning trade with China.”
